- This guidebook is designed to help pastors and other helping professionals increase sensitivity to the special needs of transcultural couples. The goal is to help couples make mature decisions about marriage. The guidebook provides a broad information-study base to insure a counselor's comfort in a transcultural setting. It permits individual creativity informed by individual ministry styles. Methodology involved library research and six years interaction with transcultural couples. The latter's concerns and wishes were paramount in designing programs, counseling models and workshops, all of which are detailed in this practical guide to helpful intervention.
