Abstract
  • This project analyzes the humanistic principles behind Appreciative Inquiry (AI) and, keeping the organizational development insights that are compatible with a Christian worldview, develops biblical principles that are reflected in a formal AI process. Both the analysis of the humanistic principles and a presentation of the new biblical principles are taught to the elders of the Okotoks Evangelical Free Church within a training seminar in biblically based AI. Practical hands-on training in the formal AI process is also included. The training process is then evaluated for its impact on the elders within their roles as church leaders.
