Abstract
  • This project examines worship trends within the American Baptist Churches, USA by reviewing its theology, history, cultural dynamics, and contemporary trends within the shift of postmodernity. The paper attempts to answer three questions regarding the criteria used in the selection of worship in the local church. This project evaluates worship from its theological roots, confessionals and a survey done in 2001 of ABC/USA churches. The project looks at Baptist worship in transition and in terms of social dynamics, postmodern influences and generational considerations.
