Abstract

The author created a customized teaching tool to replace the 'one size fits all,' publications used for the adult Sunday School class in her church. The rote, 'follow the teaching' model was replaced by a teaching method that employed an experiential learning model. The author discovered that people were better able to connect their beliefs to their daily lives when their lessons more closely reflected their experiences within the context of their congregations and in their lives outside of the church.
