Abstract
  • Care of the environment is a popular topic in our society today, but historically it has not been a priority for the Church. This is rapidly changing because of societal need and the fact that the Bible has many things to say about care of our world. In fact, environmental stewardship was the frst job given human beings by God. It is even more important today. This project acknowledges the need to mobilize the church to be stewards of the environment, and develops a course of study to be used in our congregations to make people aware of their responsibilites and motivations. The class was field tested at The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in Evansville, Indiana. Surveys and statistical analysis demonstrate that this class waswell received and effective.
