Abstract
  • This ministry project provided the opportunity for lay people to experience growth in personal Bible study. A four-session training event focusing on the historical, literary, and theological dimensions of biblical interpretation aided in achieving this goal. A 16-page interpretive guide was created and utilized to assist lay people in the process of accuracy and understanding. Evaluative questionnaires were employed to ascertain understanding and growth. Increased skill in biblical interpretation and enhanced interest in Bible study were evidenced as a result of this event.
