Abstract
  • This thesis addresses the challenges of inviting members into the shared ministry of the congregation and sustaining their ministry involvements. A systems approach to leading and facilitating such shared ministry programs is needed in today's church if the local church is to effectively assist its members to live out their baptismal call and that the practical ways in which system components are implemented must reflect both sound management and leadership theory and a solid theological foundation. The thesis consists of two parts. Part 1 integrates liberation theology and the systems theory as a foundation for Part 2, a manual for church leaders introducing and describing the systems model and its component parts.
