Abstract
  • The devotional life has been called an 'appointment with God,' 'quiet time,' and 'spending time with God.' But scripture calls it 'prayer.' It is the foundation for a believer's spiritual growth, matures through the stages of discipleship, and its role is to align the heart of the believer with God's heart in Christ-like convictions, character, and conduct, daily reaching the goal, 'his heart, my heart.' This thesis/project trains thirty Christian college students with a forty day devotional on devotions using Matthew 6:5-15. Students were evaluated at the beginning and twice at the end to measure changes in their convictions, character, and conduct towards Christ-likeness.
