Abstract
  • The ministry of peacemaking is the greatest calling and challenge facing the church in a world threatened by revolutions and nuclear holocaust. This study examines the thesis that a theology of the cross, issuing in realistic, non-violent strategies, provides the most appropriate basis for a ministry committed to peacemaking. Critical factors that need to inform and guide the theology and praxis of any peacemaking ministry are considered. The thesis is tested in dialogue with significant sources, with persons exposed to the project, and through use of a questionnaire-survey instrument. Respondents were markedly positive.
