Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to enhance the project director's sermon delivery skills through the development and implementation of three evaluation methods. A sermon evaluation form was developed through research and consultation with Hershael York, Professor of Christian Preaching at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Six sermons were preached and then evaluated by the project director, eight congregational evaluators and four peer evaluators. The feedback gained through the evaluation processes was used to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the project director's preaching and formulate a strategy for improving his sermon delivery.
