Abstract
  • This project reflects upon the efficacy of mission/vision and strategic planning processes that have taken place within the Unitarian Society of Hartford since the year 2000, as well as analyzing my role, authority and function as the Senior Minister of this congregation during these intensive change processes. Utilizing the resources of congregational studies, systems theory, spiritual discernment, and theories of congregational transformation, I have evaluated the efficacy of our processes, attending to the underlying theological and philosophical issues that influence both the congregation's and my own approach to leadership.
