Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to give voice and bear witness to the issue of sexism in the Black church, focusing on the Church of God in Christ. This project is intended to create an environment of support for women who have been called to ordained ministry, but refused ordination because of gender. Narrative inquiry was used as a research tool, and womanist theology as a lens in a qualitative research design.
