Abstract
  • This study is to explore the validity of an alternative model of religious education in church-related schools in Korea. The case of this study is Ehwa Media High School. this study proposes a spiritual education with these steps: meeting God, meeting our neighbors, and meeting ourselves. It suggests the following proposals: spiritual education is needed in religious education of the school. Knowledge-based religious education needs to be reconsidered. Spiritual education brings about the participation of students and their transformation. Spiritual education helps students have a good image of Christianity. Spiritual education can integrate students' 'knowing' and 'being' together.
