- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to inform church leaders and members of congregations about the effects of trauma which leads to the diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD). The hypothesis was that educational workshops would help participants become knowledgeable of the after effects of trauma. Participants helped to develop strategies of support for those who experienced some form of trauma. The project was implemented through collaboration with students who attend United Theological Seminary, others connected to seminary, and community members. Participants engaged in educational workshops over a four-week period. The results of the project were measured utilizing qualitative analysis.
