Abstract
  • Unresolved shame can lead to personal, social, moral and spiritual maladies. Shame must be attended to, or ita has the probability of manifesting in many harmful ways. Healing shame-based personalities is a sure way to find healing and wholeness. Shame is a deep social problem leading even more so to profound social, emotional and personality disorders. The purpose of this research is to bring attention to the plight of African American adolescent males and their problems with shame. The author provided this research in hopes that it will generate more attention to the effects of shame on the socialization and psyche of African American adolescent males.
