Abstract
  • The United Methodist Church stands in need of renewal. An examination of the curriculum known as 'Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study' suggested that this Bible study would address many church renewal concerns. The practicum was designed as an evaluation of Disciple which would be accomplished through its use in the candidate's parish and a series of twenty-seven interviews. The first key finding is that Disciple is a Bible study which should be used in every local church. A second key learning is that community is essential to the formation of new disciples and the reformation of old disciples.
