Abstract

This project consisted of developing a curriculum for understanding covenant and seeing how a theology of covenant interfaces and helps interpret stewardship and mission in the local church. Lay persons were enlisted to develop a thirteen-session course of study. For several months they studied covenant in the Hebrew and Christian scriptures before designing the curriculum. Upon completion of the work, the course was taught with both the author and lay designers participating. The participants, lay designers and author grew not only in understanding covenant, but in living more fully in covenant relationship with God and all creation.
