  • The alarming level of political polarization in America has carried over into the life of the church, causing congregations to either identify along partisan lines or to be so fearful of splitting or losing members that they cannot engage in the difficult conversations that are sometimes necessary. This project utilizes the practice of functional subgrouping to help congregations nurture understanding among individuals with differing perspectives, so that they can faithfully and lovingly engage in potentially divisive conversations.
