Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to develop an assimilation program for adult new members at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida. The project director used the strategy-planning model to design and implement the project. The program included a two-hour membership class and a six-week mentoring assignment. Each new member was assigned a mentor based on age and marital status. Adult new members will acquire a greater understanding of church theology and philosophy with a membership class. They will develop relationships during the mentoring that will help assimilate them into the fellowship of the church.
