- Abstract
- The purpose of this project was to implement a ministry of healing and caring to divorced persons in First Baptist Church (Centerville, Georgia). The research establishes a thorough biblical, theological, and historical foundation for ministry to divorcees and examines their particular needs in light of current social science research. The writer gives a detailed analysis of the divorce recovery ministry developed as a result of the data collected. This project clearly establishes the need for a ministry to divorced persons, noting the lack of direct involvement by many churches and the need for more intentional ministries.
