- Abstract
- This paper seeks to examine the pastoral care made available to a pastor by a particular congregation at the time of a death of one of the pastor's family members. It deals mainly with the death of a pastor's wife and the pastoral care received during the dying process. It also includes interviews with ten individuals who experienced the death of a loved one during a period of active ministry to a congregation as a pastor. It attempts to establish a case for using a congregation as a basic source of pastoral care for pastors at least in extreme crises such as a death.
