  • Equipping selected small group leaders at Faith Promise Church, Knoxville, Tennessee to evaluate and achieve greater health in home small groups
Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip a select group of small group leaders at Faith Promise Church in Knoxville, Tennessee to evaluate the health of their small group and ultimately achieve greater health within their group. The project director developed a training class using resources suggested by Bill Donahue and Randall Neighbour. The nine didactic sessions written led participants into a greater evaluation and understanding of the components of group health. The sessions included the vision and values of Faith Promise Church, spiritual leadership, the stages of group life, analysis of the five purpose model of groups (worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism), and a review of the ultimate goal of group life: multiplication. Participants were also asked to read two books prior to the training class.
