Abstract

The author contends in his thesis that the local Church in the Congo, which is already committed to reconciliation and peacemaking, has to become like an extended family, a lineage, a clan or a tribe. Then the Congolese Church will be able to integrate the reconciliation strategies emerging from the culture of the people into the theological reflection and pastoral praxis for peacemaking and reconciliation. The author uses attending, asserting and pastoral response model in a dialogue between experience, culture and Christian tradition.
