Abstract
  • Originally written in Spanish, this thesis concerns itself with the problem of motivation for the undertaking of a social ministry project in the congregation of Reconciliation Lutheran Church in Levittown, Puerto Rico. The congregational council has given its approval to the development of a social ministry project. The author explores the affective and spiritual factors that enable a congregation to serve the neighbor in imitation of Christ. Through the use of spiritual exercises and social analysis, congregational leaders find the energy that will enable them to identify needs, plan and carry out a social ministry project in Palo Seco, Puerto Rico.
