Abstract
  • Ten persons were enlisted to participate in this program to improve self-esteem. The program consisted of four children's sermons, four adult sermons, a nine-hour workshop, and four weekly seminars. The author believed that by presenting sound biblical and psychological principles and personal experiences related to self-esteem, participants would show an improvement in their own level of self-esteem. It was the writer's hypothesis that by helping the participants change the way they thought about themselves, they would change the way they felt about themselves. Evaluation instruments included the Personal Orientation Inventory, the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis, and the Tennessee Self Concept Scale. Pre- and post-test results of the TSCS revealed that all but two of the participants showed improvement in several areas tested.
