Abstract
  • The focus of this ministry study is to open hearts, minds, and doors by building bridges to every race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and economic status. The context of this study is First United Methodist Church, Boerne, Texas. The intervention used to achieve this goal is 'Igniting Ministry,' the denomination's national media campaign. The findings were that this test congregation far exceeded national studies and local surveys, focus groups, and interviews. The conclusion is that 'Igniting Ministry' is a very effective service to the local church in opening hearts, minds, and doors to all of God's people.
