Abstract
  • This thesis takes the position that there is an inherent narrative quality to Christian faith which is primarily expressed in Christian worship. The expression of this narrative quality in Christian worship is primary to the formation of Christian identity. A study group assembled to investigate the narrative function in Christian faith and worship. They developed a series of worship experiences based on a narrative understanding and evaluated them for increased awareness of Christian identity of the worshiper. The conclusion reached is that the narrative quality of Christian worship plays an essential role in the continuing formation of Christian identity.
