Abstract
  • In recent years, worship leaders, including pastors, have struggled with question of whether or not to include popular culture in worship. This project focuses on three congregations and how they responded to the inclusion of popular culture in worship and small group studies. This report surveys three churches that engaged popular culture as a lens through which to encounter God and a way to see God active in the world around them. We will see through their stories how this new approach was transformative in certain environments and unsuccessful in others.
