Abstract
  • This document describes the experience of Church of the Redeemer (Cleveland Heights, Ohio) as a racially inclusive congregation. It begins with a definition and theology of a racially inclusive church and addresses the role of the community, the people who attend, pastoral leadership, worship, fellowship, and education, highlighting the critical factors which make for and strengthen inclusiveness. This document is for churches, pastors, and church administrators in racially changing communities. With study questions at the end of each chapter, the experience of one congregation helps others to look at their own situation of racial change.
