Abstrakt

Currently, there is scarce research in spiritual interventions for individuals living with Conversion Disorder in India. The research is primarily directed towards etiology and focuses on adolescent and mass hysteria cases. This study found that individuals with Conversion Disorder seemed to experience depression-like symptoms. Furthermore, the results indicated that ongoing family and marital strife was significantly related to conversion disorder. The findings indicate a lack of conflict resolution skills to deal with the stress of the conflicts. In fact, the results indicate that religious faith plays a significant role in maintaining well-being and encouraging resilience.
