Abstract
  • This study enquires into the impact of the Holy Land upon preaching and its wider relevance in its geographical cultural, historical, and contemporary aspects. Historical enquiry into the place of the Holy Land in preaching traces the development of pilgrimage to the Holy Land, identifying the potential of shrines and sites for preaching hermeneutical perspectives to do justice to realities affecting the peoples of the Holy Land. The work also identifies and interprets research elements, evaluating preaching plans, to support the argument that a Holy Land perspective contributes to the devotional and preaching imagination of the wider Church.
