Abstract
  • The thesis of this project is that the quality of life is enhanced for those who hear the word of God through preaching. The author employs the principle of dialogue in communication to substantiate this conclusion. He supplements the use of this principle with a theology of revelation and with the word of God. Paramount to this principle of dialogue is self-disclosure, which is made possible through the mutual sharing of meanings from the life experiences of both the proclaimer and the hearer. The project reveals that when there is self-disclosure, there is dialogical communication.
