Abstract
  • This paper is an examination of how pastoral leadership can help the local congregation discover and use its spiritual gifts in ministry and leadership. This paper discusses procedures that the pastor can consider in developing his/her leadership ability. Various styles of leadership and their usefulness in the expansion of congregational leadership are discussed. The first part of this paper seeks to give the pastor a self-definition of leader and equipper of the congregation. Part two is an attempt of the self-defined pastor giving the congregation a self-definition through the discovery and use of spiritual gifts.
