Abstract
  • This Doctoral Project has its central focus in the main challenges that the Presbyterian Church (USA) faces ministering with new immigrants. The research was made through personal interviews, personal meetings, leader's retreats, and new immigrant training; I was able to learn from immigrant members, immigrant leaders, governing body personnel, sessions and pastors of Anglo churches. Four areas were identified in this project that affect the life and mission of the church to become racially/ethnically inclusive: Cultural Challenges, Legal Challenges, Financial Challenges, and Theological Challenges. The project also proposes some missional attitudes that the Presbyterian Church (USA) should adopt to welcome the brothers and sisters from other ethnicities.
