Abstract
  • The thesis of this project is that powerful preaching depends in a large degree upon the preachers' healthy response toward their own weaknesses and sense of brokenness. The author employs a study of various scriptures, an examination of how Charles Spurgeon, F.W. Robertson, and D.L. Moody dealt with their respective weaknesses, and a survey of contemporary preachers in order to encourage preachers away from any unhealthy form of self-reliance or self-absorption and to help them learn what it means to delight in their weaknesses so God's power and glory can rest upon them in their preaching ministry.
