Abstract
  • The decay of our society is in a large part due to the lack of commitment, responsibility and marital stability within our society. This project is designed to help prevent marital failures by helping people understand their marital covenants. When people learn about marriage, faithfulness, covenant and intimacy, and marry more wisely, for the right reasons and at a more responsible time in their lives, then they will have more faithful marriages. Chapters 1-3 provide biblical, theological and ecclesiastical perspectives on marriage. Chapter 4 examines four theories that claim to predict marital success. Chapter 5 describes developmental theories about young adults. Chapter 6 explains techniques on writing effectively to young adults. Chapter 7 is a marriage pamphlet for young adults contemplating marriage. The project concludes with a summary and critique of the pamphlet and project.
