Abstract

The area of ministry on which the project leader has chosen to focus is that of spiritual warfare. The goal of the project is to bring balance to a discipline of extremes while objectively equipping the participants for spiritual warfare and preparing them for possible, if not probable, involvement in 'the battle'. The members in the church where the project leader serves as pastor, have frequently stated that they are aware of the spiritual battle all around them, but they do not understand the various elements of the warfare, the weapons delineated in Eph 6, or their involvement in spiritual warfare. Therefore, the project leader will focus on the way that the believer prepares his or her heart for spiritual warfare, where spiritual warfare began, the spiritual weapons that are used to engage the enemy, and the place of angels in spiritual warfare, among other things. The way in which this will be done is through a ten-week seminar that will include direct teaching by the project leader, a prayer walk, a guest speaker, and assigned readings intended to complement the learning process.
