Abstracto

This project proposes a model course in expository preaching to be used in Korean universities, seminaries, and continuing education programs for pastors and lay leaders. Applying criteria for authentic expository preaching derived from biblical and current literature to 14 sample sermons prepared by seven Korean Seventh-day Adventist preachers, the project determines that only two of these sermons are expository. The greatest problem of preaching in Korean Seventh-day Adventist churches appears to be lack of biblical content, compounded by failure to apply hermeneutical principles correctly in biblical exposition.
