- The project's purpose was to link four church liturgical seasons with the personal faith journeys of the project participants. This was facilitated through a five-week small group experience in which adults studied Advent, Christmas, Lent, and Easter. They then applied themes from those sermons to their life stories, and shared them in the group. The project was successful in helping the participants gain new insights into the church seasons, connecting the liturgical themes to their life stories, providing healing through the sharing of those stories, and in establishing a close bond of koinonia in the small group.
