Abstract
  • Subtitle: Development, implementation, and evaluation of an educational model for St John's United Methodist Church, Georgetown, Texas. The purpose of this practicum/project is to investigate methods that facilitate the incorporation of elementary age children into the morning worship hour. This practicum was conducted over a seven-week period during which time eight lay pastors conducted a total of forty-two interviews with children who attended a medium-size county seat church. The author has attempted to make a case for the inclusion of children in worship on the basis that while they may not hear everything that happens in worship, they can and do overhear the gospel.
