This study assisted the ministries of the Conservative Baptist Home Mission Society by examining and improving the deputation training program which the society requires of all its missionaries. Research focused on an examination of past training and interviews of 120 persons, including laity, clergy, missionaries and administrators. The research led to the development of three training modules: 'communication styles,' 'the vision and ministry of CBHMS,' and 'building a support team'. The use of the modules during a five day seminar greatly helped new personnel in their deputation ministries of communication by relating vision and raising support in subsequent months.
