The objectives of this project were to: 1) present and dispel the myths of aging: 2) show the potential of seniors to lead happy, productive lives; 3) present four major areas of adjustment (psychological and emotional, physiological, social-economic, and church life); 4) present Bible verses concerning seniors; and 5) prepare a ministry and programs for seniors in the church. The methodology included: 1) researched words in the field of gerontology; 2) categorized the material to cover the four areas of adjustment; 3) prepared material for the four sessions; 4) prepared worksheets for seniors to use; 5) had seniors evaluate the sessions; and 6) had seniors respond to ways they'd like to be more involved. The objectives of the project were accomplished by providing seniors with greater insight into the adjustments they must make in different areas of life and also providing more meaningful ministry. The material would adapt well for four seminar sessions in churches, not only with seniors but the church staff and those younger.
