Abstract
  • The study examines selected growing Church of the Brethren congregations which are diverse in size and location in order to determine what common factors are present which have contributed to that growth. Importance is placed on the theological-biblical rationale for church growth, current perspectives in this field, and insights into the history and traditions of this denomination. Identification of common factors found in growing churches leads to definite implications for the Church of the Brethren in particular, but also challenges the church at large on issues of discipleship.
