  • This project developed a ten-week course of adult enrichment, called Liturgy and life: a ten-week course of study for Byantine Catholics, where the participants would study the historical development, theologial meaning, and active connection with modern American life. The methodology used included an opening survey, four weeks of historical and theological study, two weeks of liturgical and biblical comparison, two weeks of practical application, and a final evaluation. The research revealed the lack of liturgical understanding and connection of many adult Byzantine Catholics. The results of the project disclosed an increased understanding of the divine liturgy, and active participation in the liturgical life of St. Andrew Byzantine Catholic Church in Mentor-on-the-Lake, Ohio.
