Abstract
  • The trajectory within the United States is moving towards a post-Christian era. The church’s current practice of evangelism is not cultivating disciples of Jesus. This paper aims to show that creating an intentional Christian community around the four practices in Acts 2:42 (apostle’s teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer) forms disciples of Jesus who bear witness to God’s new creation work in the world. The intentional Christian community can counter-react the path in which the United States is heading and give way to authentic disciples who are gathered by Christ.
