- This dissertation presents the perspective that masculine imagery of God is related to the oppression of women, discovers the fact that patriarchal, masculine God imagery ultimately derives from the dualistic epistemological system of Christianity, and finds new God imagery as a ground for being capable of transcending dualistic thought structures. Though the Holy Spirit is a basis for overcoming today's dualistic contradiction, the Christian understanding of the Holy Spirit is distorted. The writer discovered that Ki(Chi'i) - the name of new God in Asian language - corresponds to the Holy Spirit, researched the substance and the structure of Ki, and compared it with the Holy Spirit.
