  • This project/practicum rests on a conviction that intercessory prayer deals with relationships and can become a vehicle for growing more involved in a wide range of caring expressions. A six-week study group examined seven written intercessions from various religious traditions, and focused on five 'circles of concern' which identified relationships from the self to the whole of creation. The image of these 'circles' proved useful to the participants both in expanding their personal prayer life and in their appreciation of worship. They have also proved useful for describing other caring relationships.
