  • A shared ministry model was used to train class leaders as agents of congregational growth and church vitalization in a Korean church. It was based on a theology of church as body of Christ and ministry as the priesthood of all believers, a historical study of Wesley's class meetings, and an integral model of ministry. Pre-tests and post-tests measuring changes in understandings of the church and its ministry in both experimental and control groups showed that this model contributed to congregational growth and maturity, and led to recommendations for training lay leaders using a shared ministry model.
