  • This paper tests 2 hypotheses about youth discipleship and witness in suburbia. The paper's thesis is that a model can be developed to reach suburban Chinese-Canadian youth (SCCY), ages 14-18, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. First the paper defines suburbia, its characteristics, history and trends. Next the project's theological foundations are presented with the argument that the church can minister to SCCY. Relevant publications are reviewed. Toronto suburban living's impact on SCCY spirituality is examines. Finally the similarities and differences between the survey groups are analyzed and the paper's thesis is supported.
