Abstrait

The fields of women's development and faith development have blossomed within the past ten years. Gilligan's research pointed out that normative theories of development matured through their relationships. This project thesis develops a perspective on relationship drawn from theories in the fields of psychology, theology, and faith development. Research data consisted of twelve interviews with women who were asked to describe themselves, their relationships, and their faith. An inclusive, covenantal definition of faith emerges from this interplay of theory and data with suggestions for a vision of ministry.
